I love you but...

first 'official' (ie.. when it sticks to the ground) snowfall of the season. snow just makes me feel cozy. i automatically made myself a cup of hot chocolate and watched a christmas episode of gilmore girls. cheesy? yes. do i love it anyway? yessss.
i really do like winter in toronto but i am so completely excited to come home for christmas. i can't remember the last thing i have looked forward to so much. i still feel like i am five years old whenever it starts to snow and christmas songs start to play.

i've been going through/cleaning out the images on my computer (instead of doing this pile of work) and thought it might be nice to share some goodies from my 'decor' folder. enjoy!

I was supposed to go see Lykke Li at the mod club this past weekend but missed the show due to reasons beyond my control... so instead i spent way too long youtubing her and i found this gem:



my dad is up visiting and putting shelves up in my room! it is a little sad how excited i am for some shelves to be honest. my mom is coming up to visit later on in the week...it's true that i appreciate my parents much more when i am not living with them.

sooo, while going crazy trying to write my research paper on the Bauhaus lamp (seriously.. a paper on a lamp?!) I found a picture that brightened up my otherwise very boring time. It's from the book Bauhaus: bauhaus archiv by Magdalena Droste. Also, this week is fashion week and i am voluntarily not doing a single thing for it. bummer.

i love fall.
going home for thanksgiving was so nice. all the brightly coloured leaves, fresh air (too bad i forgot my camera). mmm i love it all! i wish this season lasted longer.

after going through my 'etc' folder on my computer (procrastination at its finest) i stumbled upon this poem that i had completely forgot about. every time i read it is just as good as the first time i did. i wouldn't really consider myself a "poetry person" but maybe i just haven't stumbled upon any other poems i like. this is just good, good, good to me. share some of your favourites!
